Logitech Quickcam 3000 Pro

I am running Fedora core 3 (kernel 2.6.9-1.667) I am trying to get my Logitech Quickcam 3000 Pro running. lsusb reports:

[root@LEN ~]# lsusb
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 066f:4200 SigmaTel, Inc. STIr4200 IrDA Bridge
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 046d:08b0 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam 3000 Pro [pwc]
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

I have downloaded, compiled and installed a new implementation of the PWC (Phillips Webcam driver PWX 10.0.5) from saillard.org/pwc. This is apparently equivalent to the old PWC and PWCX drivers in one. The PWC driver previously incorporated in the kernel has been removed but this one seems to have installed OK. The Logitech Quickcam 3000 Pro IS aparently supported by this driver.
When I load the PWC driver lsmod will show these drivers are added (This camera has a microphone):

snd_usb_audio 59809 2
snd_usb_lib 12097 1 snd_usb_audio
pwc 77552 0
videodev 9664 1 pwc

The volume control mixer app reports a USB Device with a microphone OK

When I run the TVtime Television Viewer provided with FC3 the light on the camera flashes on then off and the application reports "Cannot open capture device /dev/video0"

My modprobe.conf file (used to be module.conf in older releases I think) has been automatically built to look like this:

alias eth0 8139too
alias snd-card-0 snd-intel8x0
options snd-card-0 index=0
install snd-intel8x0 /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install snd-intel8x0 && /usr/sbin/alsactl restore >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
remove snd-intel8x0 { /usr/sbin/alsactl store >/dev/null 2>&1 || : ; }; /sbin/modprobe -r --ignore-remove snd-intel8x0
install snd-usb-audio /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install snd-usb-audio && /usr/sbin/alsactl restore >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
alias usb-controller uhci-hcd
alias snd-card-1 pwc
options snd-card-1 index=1
install pwc /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install pwc && /usr/sbin/alsactl restore >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
remove pwc { /usr/sbin/alsactl store >/dev/null 2>&1 || : ; }; /sbin/modprobe -r --ignore-remove pwc

My question is, what do I need to change in this file to get my camera to work, or what application will work with this camera!

Hope I have provided a clear explanation and enough info and someone can help!

Oops. I just tried GnomeMeeting and everything works perfectly.
I guess my problem was trying to use the TVtime Television Viewer. I have been trying to get this to work for weeks, I guess it's been working all the time!
Anyway hope this maybe saves someone else with a Phillips webcam some time.

Cheers
