Angry Linux won't update file list on NTFS

I am having a problem with Debian/Linux, I downloaded some new MP3s the other day using WinXP and I cannot get Linux to see them, as if they don't exist. Is there a way to update the file list for my NTFS drive? I've tried updatedb, but that did me no good. Thanks in advance

At the moment, Im not really sure about anything, but if I had to guess, Id say yes, seens how I can access the drive and read files from it, I just can't get it to update the contents of the NTFS drive.
