Linux install and Adaptec RAID
I am attempting to install Slack10.0 to a system w/ an Adaptec AAA-131U2 SCSI RAID controller. On boot of the install CD, I'm using the adaptec.s image. On bootup, Slackware sees the 4 9GB SCSI drives that are connected to the RAID controller, but it does not identify that 3 of the SCSI drives are hardware-configured as a RAID0 array... it only sees them as seperate drives.
The module aacraid is loading what is detecting the adaptec card, and in turn detecting the 4 SCSI drives, but its not detecting the RAID partition on 3 of the 4 SCSI drives.
Is there a flag or parameter that I need to pass on bootup to adaptec.s to make either adaptec.s or aacraid to see the RAID array correctly, or am I just out of luck? I have checked the system on Win2000 w/ the driver from Adaptec and it is displaying the RAID0 array correctly there. I've also tried Fedora RC3 and it also only sees the 4 SCSI drives instead of the RAID partition.
