Angry Linux embedded on all devices, to shunt ms off there pedastool

One of the biggest areas that microsoft has there claws stuck into is embedded windows. This can be found in a range of devices, from cars, to sewing machines, to ovens and planes, (err glad i dont fly). Some companies, should start to think about working on embeded linux, and perhaps manufacturers of such equipment should think about linux as there operating solution, because linux is cheaper and easier to customize.

Then microsoft will really begin to get scared, they already recognise linux as a big threat in the corperate, educational and enterprise sectors, and even some in the desktop sector.

what do people think?

Something I was thinking about the other day is that since the linux kernel can really be stuck on a floppy and booted from there (in a stripped down form), don't you think that linux would be a no-brainer for embedded applications??

90% of all the generic boot disks I have downloaded do perform tasks like shredding a hard drive, etc have all included linux as a replacement for MS-DOS. (Since MS-DOS is totally outdated and nowhere near being supported.) Why isn't this already done?

microsoft bully equipment manufacturers into useing windows for there products

linux would definatly be a much more cheaper and powerful solution, but it doesnt have a very very large financial backing like ms does

you see the great thing about the linux kernel is that it can be ripped to bits, re distributed all for free
