Linux Compatible with Multi Processors?

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Linux installations but have had successfully installed now on a few 'standard' type computers.

I want to now install on a quad processor Dell PE6400 server, there are 4 x Xeon 700 MHz processors, 2GB mem etc.

Is there any particular version of Linux I need to use all the processors? Or will any version support this out of the box or with *minor* tweaking?

Thanks for your help!

John

most reputable distro's will ship an SMP enabled kernel as well as a single cpu one. just tick the right box during the install, if you even need to do that.
