Question Leadtek TV2000 RM TV card. Need Help!


With my Leadtek TV2000 RM TV card the cable does not work, but the Video-in does work with TVtime in the U.S. Does anyone know how to get cable working with FC5 of any other distro?

Hopefully it is the same as my Deluxe version if so modprobe -r bttv and modprobe -r tuner to remove any modules that may have been loaded then modprobe bttv card=34 tuner=2 to load with the correct tuner it always defaults to PAL instead of NTSC for the tuner. Try tvtime again and see if it works if so then put a line like this in your /etc/modules.conf.

Now it should be getting loaded with the proper tuner at every boot.

Ok this looks like it gets detected properly have you went into the Input Configuration and checked that you have the correct settings. Another thing to try is install the xawtv package then as root use scantv to scan for your channels and see what it finds if you hear sound as it goes by the channels then you know the card is tuning properly. Some more details on how the card is connected would be nice as well.
