I use the fully USB model put out by IO Gear and it works awesome with my USB keyboard and mouse. It also has an AUX usb port that allows you to switch other USB devices to the machine of you choice seperatly instead of like other KVM that will switch everything from one PC to the other everytime you change machines. Works great with my Windows XP and Fedora machines.

In the past when I used a KVM, I have found the D-link DKVM-2 to work great with Windows and Linux. Its an old style KVM switch, not USB.

Its easier/cheaper to just run a VNC server on the Linux box and access it through a VNC client or browser on the Win machine(or vice versa). Just be sure you are behind a firewall to the net! I have done this before and it works great!

I now actually use Cygwin with X installed on WinXP to access my desktop through the network, rather than messing with a KVM switch. The machine I do this on has not been connected to a Keybd, mouse, monitor in over a year, which is about the last time it was restarted.

If you wanna play media/games through the Linux box this networked solution can get difficult, and a KVM is most practical.

I Hope I helped!
