Ok I've done lots of searching and reading but can't find any decent isntructions on how to get this camera working under Linux. Install this library, change the PATH_PKG_CONFIG variable in some file, then compile in windows! (well not quite)
I've found gphoto, but have no idea how to install it because their instructions are very hard to follow. ANd on one page it lists the dc25 as supported, the other it doesn't.
Anyone have the same camera working or can point me in the right direction??
Thanks.
How does the camera connect? does it use some sort of flash memory?
I don't bother connecting my digital cameras to my workstation I just pop their flash memory cards (SD/MMC for the OptioS and CF/Micro drive for the D100) into a SanDisk ImageMate 6 in 1 and mount them by clicking on an icon on my desktop.
I just found this page which mentions using sane to access the DC20/25 cameras and sure enough when I looked in /etc/sane.d I found the following, file:/etc/sane.d/dc25.conf :-)
