Keyboard not working during bootup Suse10.1

Hello,
I just installed Suse 10.1 on a Dell gx620. The install went fine and everything works after it boots up, but when booting, the keyboard is not recognized. The keyboard is a Dell USB. The machine does not have any PS/2 ports to try a different keyboard. I am trying to choose Xen so I can play with the virtual machines. What can I do to see what is wrong? I have googled the problem, but nothing I found worked. Any help would be appreciated.

Is the keyboard directly connected to usb port or wth usb hub
Because if it connected via usb hub it takes some more time before it works
anyhow this what my retailer told me
