Does anyone know of a ISA NIC that will work with Linux. I have a lot of older 486 machines that I would like to install Linux on but I can't seem to get any of my ISA NICS to work in them. They don't have any PCI slots in the machines. The plan for these is to be simple workstations. The existing card are NE2000 ca\ompatible cards, but I can't get any information other than that about the cards.

check :
net-howto
and
ethernet-howto

most nic will do but if my memory serves me right, 3Com cards are not that easy to set up.

Good luck !
