I have Suse Linux Professional 9.1 with kernel version 2.6.4. I have an integrated sound card that won't work. I've tried the drivers from the RealTek website, but I can't get them to work. It doesn't seem to show up using lspci:
how did you get it to work? (drivers from where, what you did) (i'm fairly new to *nix, but can figure my way through alot of stuff)
i am on fedora core 3 with the realtek alc 880 set, and any help would be appreciated.
Thankyou
download the driver, unzip it, then unzip the other file.
then run ./configure, then make, then make install, then ./snddevices or something like that. then you have to run modprobe for the soundcard. there are some more instructions in the zip.
