Installing Printer Utility

I recently got a new Epson WF-3720 AIO printer. I have the printer & scanner working. Debian supplied the printer driver and I downloaded the scanner & printer utility files from Epson website.

Trying to install the printer utility drivers, I keep getting this error message:
Code:
$ sudo gdebi ./epson-printer-utility_1.1.1-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Reading state information... Done
This package is uninstallable
Dependency is not satisfiable: lsb (>= 3.2)
Searching around I found that lsb is a virtual package so I'm not exactly sure what to do at this point.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to solve this issue?

I am following these instructions on this site:
https://tutorialforlinux.com/2020/03...n-buster-10/3/

Thanks.

@ferrari, thanks for the link, but the printer is working. I'm having an issue with the Utility pkg. It's really no big deal either, I can do without it!

It does work with Mageia Linux.

Thanks anyway.

I tried converting the .rpm pkg to .deb and after installing I'm still getting the same error message.
Quote:
$ sudo gdebi ./epson*printer-utility*lsb*.deb
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree

Dependency is not satisfiable: lsb (>= 3.2)
I wonder if the name is making a difference? The converted pkg is named redhat-lsb

Answer 2 from the link above states:
Quote:
debian recommend to create the deb package through alien (from rpm)
I wonder what does he mean by "debian recommend"? Why they didn't choose an Ubuntu pkg?

Just curious.
