Arrow install the Wireless card drivers in Backtrack 3?


Hi !!!

I wonder if there is anyone who could install the Wireless card drivers in Backtrack 3? and post where i can download it later?

My Wireless card:
Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN



( I found a post but i dont understand it and im new whit linux HERE )

Hi there...

This is so difficult to do unless the distro is installed to harddrive, since you need to decompress all lzm files and then set kernel config and (re)compile it. This is because running kernel for backtrack is too old, you need at least kernel 2.6.25 or higher.

It is better for you to download current version of backtrack.

ok i i understand u i need to download BT4 and then it will work ? or do i still need to install the drivers ?

Since BT4 use kernel 2.6.28.1, I think Intel 5100 (iwlagn) will work without patching, firmware or driver installation.

somebody please CMIIW.
