install firewire dvd drive rhl 9

hi,

I'm trying to install an external firewire dvd drive, and not having any luck. I've loaded all the required modules. I ran kudzu, and the drive was detected. But, I still can't mount the drive.

my /etc/sysconfig/hwconf file has the following entries - the tdk drive is the one which I can't get working:
-
class: SCSI
bus: FIREWIRE
detached: 0
driver: sbp2
desc: "TDK DVDR [001010] / TDK DVDRW0404N [000340]"
-
...
-
class: CDROM
bus: SCSI
detached: 0
device: scd0
driver: ignore
desc: "Matshita UJDA720 DVD/CDRW"
host: 0
id: 0
channel: 0
lun: 0
generic: sg0
-

So, now my drive is detected, but I can't seem to attach this to a device. I've tried running the rescan-scsi-bus.sh script from the ieee394 howto, but that doesn't detect it.

Any pointers?

thanks,

vijay
