In dire need of help

Help Setting up wireless, Belkin F5D6050

Hey Everyone,
I have a little bit of a problem, heres the deal im running a suse 7.0 router, with a 2.4.25 kernel, with a belkin F5D6050 USB Wireless card. Now all the box does is go from the cable modem to the router then to the hub. now what i want to do is add the Wireless card to it and have it act like an AP or a "hub" for other wireless cards.

*whew* everyone still with me?
now I installed the atmel-wlan-usb drivers with no problem and the wireless tools no problem. I also had to make the file ifcfg-wlan0 because it says to here at76c503a.berlios.de/distro_suse.html I'm guessing this is where it gets it essid and what not. now when i plug it in and out the computer reads it and outputs something of this sort:

at76c503.c: device's MAC 00:08:a1:42:9c:d9, regulatory domain ETSI (Europe - (Spain+France) (id 48)
at76c503.c: registered wlan0
*not from my computer im at work now*

now i can not seem to get it to work i set it up with the:
iwconfig wlan0 essid your_ssid mode your_mode
ifconfig wlan0 your_ipaddr

but when on my laptop and running NetStumbler i get no signals no luck, if anyone has any ideas please feel free to post. At this point i will be happy to get it working but if any one can help with the AP idea that will also be very helpful

also if any one knows and forums that have detailed instruction on how to set up wireless on Suse 7.3 that would be awsome

Thanks for reading
