ide2: unexpected interrupt

I'm having a problem where I get messages every few seconds about an unexpected ide interrupt. I'm running Debian testing, and I've tried both the stock 2.4.18 kernel and the newer 2.6.0, compiled from scratch. On 2.4.18, the error says "ide2: unexpected interrupt status=0xd0 count=x", where x is some number that keeps increasing by 10 or 20 or so each time the message appears. On 2.6.0, the error is about a half a screen long and includes lots of memory addresses and such. I can try to copy that error and add a reply here later if it's necessary. lspci output from 2.4.18 (2.6.0 output is identical) and /proc/pci from 2.4.18 are below.

Another odd problem (maybe unrelated?) is cdrom drives that appear during Debian setup, but will not mount, even with a CD in them (I even tried it from the shell with "mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc", and it said something like "no media found" even though there was a CD in it that I just booted from...), so I'm forced to install from the net.

The IDE errors have appeared on 2 different hard drives that I've tried installing to, ide0 and ide2. ide0 is a WD800JB 80GB drive, and ide2 is a SATA WD360 36GB drive. The really strange thing is that I've installed Debian on this system before, from the same CD (although, on a different drive, which I haven't tried this time around--yet), and it worked fine, and didn't have these issues. The only thing I've changed is adding a Promise ATA100 controller, a new HD, and a new DVD+RW drive, and I've tried installing Debian while the controller and drives are disconnected, and it still has the same issue.

The error doesn't seem to be a big problem, I mean, I can write to/read from the drive fine (althogh the error seems to appear more frequently when I'm reading/writing), but it's pretty annoying when I'm at a console and the thing is constantly appearing and writing over stuff I'm editing and such.
