I have a PC right now that is a SMP (Dual CPU) machine running dual AMD Opteron 246 HE CPU's but after a fresh install this weekend, I noticed that both top (htop) and KDE only see the system as having one single processor and I don't know if this is a limitation of the default kernel it has installed or perhaps something else.
Code:
# cat cpuinfo
processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 15
model : 5
model name : AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 246 HE
stepping : 10
cpu MHz : 2009.296
cache size : 1024 KB

bogomips : 4020.95
I don't see "processor: 1" where it would normally be below the 1st one labeled "0".
When I run "top or htop" there is only one single cpu as well.
What should I check or do...?
Using the 2.6.18-4-486 kernel.
