Post I'm such a newbie it's not funny

I'm posting this from a 266 MHz intel cpu that I have as learning tool for my exploration of Linux. Cause my 1.2 system just crashed on me that had XP (Which might I say I was pretty good at) but with this linux red hat ver 7.3 thing its driving me up the wall not only is it slow as he but I know that from the system being a 266 but besides that almost everything has so much detail about it, I know I'll be posting here a lot untill I get my mobo for my 1.2 chip.

But enough with the chit chat lets get down to the questions....

When I first installed linux I was playing around with it and moved my task bar to the side of the screen and I'm trying to get it back at the bottom. Now I tryed clicking and holding but thats not working. So what else can I do.

Next where can I finda driver for my MS (I say MS cause I know the real word is a curse word around here ...So MS you and your computer tooo ha ha ah Just kidding) mouse its an intellimouse with the wheel and all so where do I go to get the driver for it to work in linux. And I would like you to tell me how to installa driver in linux for my mouse and how to run the CD-rom so I can install a driver for my printer (And yes it is compatable with Linux) Also how do I install the driver for the printer my printer is the Samsung ML1710. and it has a usb interface. so good luck....

And that about all thank for your help in adv....

Your mouse should work, did you specify it as a MS intellimouse during your (no doubt lengthy) install? If not we'll have to edit some files...

Assuming you've got an entry for your cdrom in /etc/fstab then simply type as root at a shell prompt:

mount /dev/cdrom

I assume you can drag the taskbar about, keep trying if not right click and go to properties I believe there's a setting in there.

Your printer will run via CUPS (if supported) lets get more basic things working first!

Btw KDE/Gnome on that kind of processor are just gonna cause you problems, they're to heavy, try something like fluxbox/xfce instead

This is the pointer section of the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file.
This option will configure the scroll wheel.

Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
