HPpsc 1350 (USB) all-in-one Printer woes
hp psc1350 all-in-one printer
I am trying to configure this printer for distro Susse 9.1. The Yast picks it up, highlights 'ready' in green, states it is configured as 'HPprinter' and suggests a [test].
When I attempt the [test] I get this msg. first:
"The test page was sent to the printer using the command:
'lpr -PHPprinter/temp/YaST2-08276-wTOF66/testpg.ascii'
Printing should start in a few seconds.
If the printer is not producing the appropriate output, use the 'Stop' button.
When the whold page is printed, press 'Printout inished'.
This Err. Msg. quickly follows:
An error occurred while communicating with the CUPS server while saving queue y2test,
cups(file)DoRequest error: client-error-bad-request.
The driver I located for this device was hpijs-1.5
I tried deleting and re-instaling using "other" instead of the USB in the "type of printer window". This produced about the same results. I get a reassuring Msg. that it communicates O.K. with the printer, but it prints Zilch, though it is listed system-wide as a printer-idle-accepting jobs.
Any ideas?
