HP Ink Cartridge

What happens to Instant Ink cartridges after they are returned to HP for recycling. They refill them? Recycled for plastic? Get trashed?

We hope they get recycled but who knows. Zero chance HP actually does the work.

They make tank type printers now that may reduce waste.

Someone had wax sticks for printers that seemed to work for some.
