HP Deskjet 3820 stopped working on cups and hpijs

I have an HP Deskjet 3820 printer and am using cups version 1.2.1-2 and hpijs version 2.1.7+0.9. (or is it foomatic-db-hpijs version 1.5.200605 that matters?). I think it was after an update via aptitude (I'm on Debian) that it stopped working.

When I send a job to the printer, it is listed in KJobViewer as "Processing..." and never changes.

I don't know what other information to give, so if I haven't given enough, let me know and I'll supply more.

Thanks for your time!

I use Gentoo and ran into that before. What I did was delete the printer then add it back again and it worked after that. You may want to restart cups just in case something changed during the update and the config files changed.

I have that exact printer though. It does really well in my opinion.

Hope that helps

I'll give it a try. I've also been very happy with the printer.
