Have you installed cups?
Is the Pi running debian or is this a printer sharing question?

the usual way is to install the hplip package, but without details hard to say anything.

The HP 2721e is an IPP everywhere compatible printer so a driver is not required but it depends on what packages are installed.

michaelk, even without drivers (cups or hplip) you can still have some issues with HP IPP printers. Under debian, hplip should be easy enough to install either with apt or the GUI tools provided.
HP has excellent support for their printers in Linux, especially for the .deb and their forks (ubuntu, popOS, etc...)
