How to mount USB FlashDisk: SanDisk Cruzer Mini?

I use Mandrake 10. When I plug the flash disk in to the usb port, the system display a "hardisk" icon, I think it's for the flash disk. But when I double-clicked it(/mnt/removable), nothing appears. How could I configure it?need I configure /etc/fstab? thanks.

Open terminal as su and type in your password.

Type gedit /etc/fstab

Put this line in your /etc/fstab :

/dev/sda1 /mnt/removable vfat umask=0,codepage=850,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0

Then save your fstab and Reboot.

It works in my box

I have the same problem with my pen drive and Mandrake 10. The pen drive is recognized, but there is a problem with mounting fat32 (this is the reason of empty window after click on icon "Hard disc" on desktop - look at dmesg command from console). If you try format pen drive with ext3 or ext2 filesystem, probably your device will be working fine.
I think that the problem is with linux kernel 2.6.3...mdk. I have tried with version 2.6.7 and I had no problems with my pen drive.

Regards,
jarro
