How to get 2 SCSI drives working st the same time?

I have 2 SCSI drives running off an Adaptec card, I have a cable for 2 drives plus the SCSI terminator, but when I plug in both drives it either locks up or only finds one of the drives.

Is anyone familiar with this? please help.

thx in advance.

What are their SCSI ID's set to?

If you don't know what scsi id's are, go google for it, you'll find lots.

I've tried setting different ID's, I'm assuming that you mean the jumper settings.

Once again:

What are their SCSI ID's set to?

And,

Is this internal or external? What model of adaptec card is this?

btw this is really not a linux hardware question, it's a general hardware question- you may get more/better advice from a scsi forum or just general pc hardware forum.

you are right, I figured someone would know though... It's my brother's computer so I dont have it here now to see what card or what are the exact ID settings, I believe I had them set at ID0 and ID1. But I can't remember the model for the card.
