How do I add a Second Floppy Drive?

I want to add a second floppy drive to my computer. How do I do it? I tried connecting the second drive to the same data cable that the first one is connected to, (two drives connected to the same data cable), but it didn't work. It caused the green lights in both drives to stay on all the times.

Is it configured correctly in your BIOS and try turning the cable around on the second floppy.. sounds to me its put on backwards..

PS. Moved to Hardware where this seems more suitable to be asked in.

On a floppy drive cable, there should be a group of wires (about eight of them) twisted in the cable already.

The cable should be straight through from the motherboard connector to the first connector. From the first drive connector to the second (end) connector it has to have a "flip" in it (those eight or so wires).

And like the Trickster said, you will have to inform the BIOS of your new drive.

Be sure to plug the power in.

Now for my question, why-oh-why do you want to do this?
