On a floppy drive cable, there should be a group of wires (about eight of them) twisted in the cable already.
The cable should be straight through from the motherboard connector to the first connector. From the first drive connector to the second (end) connector it has to have a "flip" in it (those eight or so wires).
And like the Trickster said, you will have to inform the BIOS of your new drive.
Be sure to plug the power in.
Now for my question, why-oh-why do you want to do this?
