History Size


Hai,
In Linux Which File i have to edit and assign the history size.

Hi,

Which (hardware related?) history size are you talking about?

If you are talking about command line history: This depends on your shell. If you are using bash you can set the following in your /etc/profile:

export HISTSIZE=<number> Some use HZ instead of HISTSIZE.
Also take a look at the HISTIGNORE and HISTCONTROL setting (man bash).
