Hey everyone
I have recently acquired a newer PC and planned on using it as a HTPC. I currently have Ubuntu 8.04 installed and have been playing around with XBMC as well as Boxee.

I have the GTXP installed and somewhat working after hours of googleing. I am trying to use the 6 channel analog output to my stereo. Today I had just the front left/right working, and after playing for a while I got some sound out of the surrounds as well using the speaker-test program. however, I cannot get anything out of the center or the sub. Does anybody have any ideas for me?

You should test all six channels with mplayer by playing a DVD movie. Use the following to play a movie.

mplayer -channels 6 dvd://

My Turtle Beach Santa Cruz uses the same module, but your sound card uses a better Cirrus Logic DSP. I setup my sound card by using "alsamixer -V all".

Print what amixer lists, so I or others can help you further.
