Help Mounting NTFS Drives and/or ATi Drivers - Fedora Core 6

I'm having problems mounting NTFS Drives using Fedora Core 6. The hard drives are detected and as NTFS aswell, but when I try to mount them it says NTFS is not a recognised file system.. or something like that. Can anyone help? Do I need some drivers or something first? I know how to use sudo and su commands and how to exit from them.

ATi provides 3 options for my graphics card 9200 Radeon Series, 1 is a .run files and the other 2 are .rpm for different systems. I tried running from Terminal and from the files themselves after being extracted (the RPM files). It says a dependency is missing.. something like that. Anyone ATi drivers before?

I only installed Fedora Core 6 today and have all 3 install options ready (for ATi drivers) just encase.

The Red Hat family does not support the NTFS filesystem "out of the box", the fixes are to rebuild the kernel and add this support or visit;

http://www.linux-ntfs.org/

For the ATi video drivers try add the freshrpms repo to yum then type something (as root) like;

yum install ati-x11-drv

http://zod.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=118

Thanks for the help, the ATi drivers work fine just don't like any Desktop effects. The ntfs site wasn't much help but from there I got http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mj...-fc6.html#ntfs which helps, but I'm still unsuccessful mounting on startup and have to use mount -a
