Hi gang -
So, I installed a 20 GB hard drive as a slave drive in my Red Hat 8 box (this is a Linux only box - no windows partitions). I ran fdisk on /dev/hdb1 (the new drive) and it only recognizes it as having 964 cylinders. I created the primary partition and then ran MKFS.ext3 and it shows up as a 7.3 GB drive. I ran the Gnome Hardware Browser and it lists cylinders 1 - 964 as ext3 and cylinders 964 - 2435 as Free Space which Fdisk won't let me make part of partition 1.
I did the change cylinders option in FDISK and changed it to 2435 and it looks like it works but df -h says it's only a 7.3 GB drive.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!
Chris
