HDCP = Bad?

Hi

I am thinking of building a HTPC. Considering buying a 8600GT but they have HDCP support. Does this mean that they can come up with the idea to decrease resolution if I run an .avi or similar from linux?

Only if you are running protected HD content, you may have problems playing these anyway in Linux.

I have an HDCP capable monitor and video card, I don't have any issues.
