have i broken my installs
Hi,
Im a total noob so please be gentle,
I had a spare 160gb sata disk and wanted to try linux. I put the drive in my Windows x64 rig,
windows was on raid 0 using the nvidia controller, Ibooted from the ubuntu x86 6.06 cd, pressed install and pointed it at the 160gb drive...formatted and installed to the 160gb drive and rebooted,the machine posts,nvidia raid screen tells me my raid 0 (windows) is healthy, then goes to grub,Tries to boot `ubuntu,kernel 2.6.15-23-386` root (hd2,0) and says error 21 disk does not exist
press any key to continue, then it gives me a menu with 3 ubuntu boot options kernel, kernal debug and memtest all wich lead to error 21 thas when i try to boot from the 160gb disk i installed ubuntu to,
i tried setting my boot device back to the nvraid (windows x64) it tries to load grub gives error 21
and stops on that screen,im typing this on my laptop...is there any way to recover my computer? or have i gone and done it for good?
