hardware compatible with linux?

I am going to building a desktop computer.
I want to know is there any problem hardware I chosed with linux red hat 9?
CPU: athlon xp 2400+
motherboard: giga ga-7vaxp
ram: Kingston 512 mg bus 400
graphic card: radeon 9000 or radeon 9000 pro or radeon 9200
monitor: lcd 17inch LG model S
cd writer: asus 52/24/52x
dvd-rom: pioneer 16/52x
about modem I am not sure. I know internal modems usually don't work under linux. Is external Acorp modem a good choice?
Is there any better choice?
(I don't want to pay much for a modem.)
thanks in advance

AS far as i'm aware...

CPU - there shouln't be any problem, i used to have redhat 8 with my amd athlon Xp and it ran fine, so i imagine it will work.

RAM - i very much doubt any compatibility problems.

Monitor - shouldn't matter

Motherboard - shouldn't matter

CD-RW and DVD Rom - souldn't matter

Graphics card - I can almost guarentee that RH9 will come wih drivers for these cards, if youre still not sure, search to see if anyone has had problems in the past.

About modems, i would very much reccommend getting a serial/usb external for dial up. they come very cheap (if you're uk, i think dabs has one for about £20, which is serial) more or less any will work fine...

then again, im a newbie so dont take my word for anything i said

Hmm.... I wonder the same. I'm getting ready to build a new PC. Components from www.newegg.com as usual. Radeon 9500 would be vid card
