GPRS Modem issue

I could not get my GPRS modem to work using UBUNTU, there were inbuilt drivers for Win XP, Vista, MAC . I rangd Crazy Johns and asked about a driver, they informed me their modem would not work under any Linux OS. Is there a GPRS modem that will work under latest SUSE ?

Most of them probably will, although you won't find many that are OFFICIALLY supported.

We can help more if you provide details. You say "latest SuSE"...enterprise or openSUSE? What brand/model GPRS modem? And Ubuntu is no more/less supported for this than any other distro, and probably better to use for someone new..
