Question Getting sound through both headphone and laptop speaker in debian


Hi

I am using Dell Vostro 1520 with Debian Lenny installed. My problem is that I am getting sound through both my headphone and laptop speakers. But it works fine in Windows XP.

Details of my audio device obtained from lshw is....

Someone else had issues with Intel HDA (rev5), 64 bit Debian. I accidentally posted in the middle of the thread, probably faith driven. The post is marked solved, did not take the time to read the last half of the thread though, hopefully it helps.

Upgraded to 2.6.32 kernel and everything works fine. Thanks for the help
