File Format not recognized

Whenever I comple code I from my home account, I get a "No space Left on device error" along with the following error when building the executables:
"File Format not recognized". There is plenty of disk space on the mounted file system. Could the problem be with a disk size limitation of some kind. There are no user quotas either. Any information would help. Thanks.

Does this happen if you comple code not 'from my home account'? Can you give us an example of how you are compiling (commandline, Makefile, etc.)? What compiler/version?
