then cut and paste the two files:
/var/log/Xorg.log
/etc/X11/xorg.conf

and post them here so we can have a look.

Sorry my friend, am at work and had to do some real stuff!

Anyway,
As you can see:

Quote:

(==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"
Parse error on line 49 of section Monitor in file /etc/X11/xorg.conf
The HorizSync keyword must be followed by a list of numbers or ranges.
(EE) Problem parsing the config file
(EE) Error parsing the config file
ignore the no screens found it's misleading.
It says that for any error.

I reckon if you remove this:
HorizSync 13619.0 - 0.0
which is nonsense, it may work.

If not, gzip the file xorg.conf (which will compress it and rename it without removing it)
and try running xorgcfg -textmode see if you get any better luck.

http://www.x.org/X11R6.8.2/doc/xorgcfg.1.html
http://www.x.org/X11R6.8.2/doc/

and remember, an afternoon of reading can save weeks of headaches, literally
