I don't know if this is where this should go, but it seems to almost fit:
I have a stack ofr 5 Mini-CDs (the ones the size of the palm of oyur hand) that hold 210 mb. Here is my problem:
My PC won't read them unless they are formated from Windows, and then they cann't write to OR reformat the CD. I would like to use them for a LiveCD distro for system repairs, but the fact I cann't get them to even read, much less write, causes problems.
I do know I had trouble when I first put them into Windows getting Windows to even see them (a pack of 5 with 3 bad disk?), which is a really odd issue.
Any hints/tips/tricks/hacks anyone knows of to fix this, or would this be a problem with my CD-RW drive.
BTW, for what its worth, they are CD-RW (Memorex CD-RW 210 MB, 1x-4x), so the not being able to reformat them seems a bit odd.
In K3B, if you right click on the part of the taskbar where the size is listed you can choose 201MB in the context menu. However, the problem may have to do with which company manufactured the disks, I.E. how the disks are made. Cd burning programs like K3B use the cdrecord program in the background, and it's possible that that disk isn't supported by cdrecord or that your drive won't write to them.
I can't write to Fuji disks on my laptop, but an external usb burner that I have can.
I've only seen one company who made the mini disk, and I have gotten some disk to write, just, not well. Thanks for the info on K3B. That may do what I want it to
