DVI not working at boot

ok so I just got my dvi cable in the mail today and it works great! just a quick fix in xorg.conf and it uses dvi as output. Works just fine in windows too. But at boot up all the way until windows or linux is fully up, its a blank screen with it telling me out of range and has H:79.9khz V:75.0Hz below it. Those are its upper limits, says so in its book. So i'm asking why is it that it wont work until X or windows is loaded? Shouldnt it work? from what I know of dvi and monitors, the computer should know what is the right range to display, the monitor tells it so. Right, thats what DCC is for. Anyways I was just wondering, its just a small thing but at boot time its enough to make that time last forever while I stare at the blackness. I have a nVidia GeForce FX 5200 and here is some interesting info from my Xorg log.
