DVB-S USB satellite receiver box Linux compatibility

Basically, does anyone know if this works on linux?

This model is sold by many Chinese sellers but no one gives information about Linux compatibility or the internals (chipsets etc). It's listed as Windows 2000/XP compatible so it's quite an old model I guess.

I didn't buy this box but I found a solution a while ago. I'm unable to edit the first message so I post the solution here...


The box is apparently Linux-compatible. I found this by searching for "DM04" that was written on a sticker on the bottom.
