I've got a controllerless 'winmodem' which uses the Intel 536ep chipset. There are drivers for this chipset available from Intel for the 2.4 kernel, however I use Mandrake 10 with the 2.6(.3?) default kernel, and the Intel drivers don't work.

However recently I came across some drivers (RPM for Suse linux) which are supposed to work under the 2.6 kernel. I tried installing them in Mandrake, but didn't get very far. Insmod told me that the module is the wrong format or something.
