driver problems

I recently purchased a new canon digital camera. When I tried to install the software, I soon realised that My computer only sees devices with removable storage as the "a" drive & removable disc f. It can't see my d or e drive. I clicked on control panel, then add hardware, got the add hardware wizard, clicked yes. The top two in the installed hardware are both my drives. They are LG CD-RW CED-8081B & DVSKOREA DVD-ROM DSR 1600H. When I click on one of them, I get a message; windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (code 39)
I have went into help & support, I tried system restore, but that was no good. It said that no changes had been made to the pc. The other option was to uninstall the hardware & then reinstall it. Remember that "my computer" sees no d or e drive, so I can't put any installation disc into one of those drives.
any ideas?
I have a Time pc, it is 3 years old. The operating system is windows xp.

Yes, thats very amusing. I presume that you are either completely ignorent to what linux is or and i think this is the more plausable explaination: you are being a troll.

If its the first one, go and do a google search and find out what linux is and _then_ come back and look at what you have asked and where you have asked it.

If you are being a troll...well i am just not going there.
