does anyone know what this means?


before i go googling around does anyone know about this? When I plug a usb device into a usb port I get the following out put from tail -f /var/log/messages

obviously something is wrong.

thanks - I'll look into that. this box was build for my wife and has a Bayone AVI 6.1 flash memory reader/writer with two usb ports. So the box has three usb's.

Did you ever figure out what "USB device not accepting new address" means? I am getting the same message in /var/log/messages.

Does it have something to do with IRQ conflicts? If so, how do I check for that and/or fix those problems?

You need to have scsi.o and other scsi support to get USB working.
