do automaticaly "modprobe ath_pci"

I newly installed a driver for my wireless card, and now, everytime when I start my computer, I have to type
Quote:
modprobe ath_pci
What can I do, that the system makes this automaticaly?
I think, that it is an easy question, but I am new with Linux.

My distro has the file /etc/modules, yours may be somewhere else, but my modules file says:

Code:
# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
#
# This file should contain the names of kernel modules that are
# to be loaded at boot time, one per line. Comments begin with
# a `#', and everything on the line after them are ignored.
ehci-hcd
usb-ohci
scsi_hostadapter
So you could try adding ath_pci to that file.

can't find this file

I can't find a similar file in redhat9. I only find the file /etc/modules.config, which is very different

OK. (Thinks - "WHY do distros have to be different?"!)
-You could wait until someone who knows Redhat better than I answers your question.

-You could create the file /etc/modules, put in the line you need and see if redhat recognises it.
BTW perms need to be:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 280 May 15 08:18 /etc/modules

-You could try a really clunky fix and put modprobe ath_pci at the end of the file /etc/rc.d/rc.local
