Disc not mounted at boot

Hello there:
Last week I added a ne harddrive to my computer, I have tried to mount it in many different ways, but none have workes, when I try to fdisk onto it, it says unable to open hdd.
Here is the line on the menu.lst
kernel (hd0,0)/bzImage-2.6.4.34.1-sound root=/dev/hda5 vga=0x31a splash=silent desktop hdc=ide-scsi hdclun=0 hdd=ide-scsi hddlun=0 \
showopts
initrd (hd0,0)/initrd

And here is what it says when starting up:

ide_setup: hdd=ide-scsi
ide_setup: hddlun=0 -- BAD OPTION
ide1: BM-DMA at 0xd808-0xd80f, BIOS settings: hdcMA, hddMA
hdd: SAMSUNG SP0802N, ATA DISK drive

I thought it could be the line hdd=ide-scsi it said before ide-cd, but I changed to ide-scsi
Any ideas?, thanks in advance.

It is on my /etc/fstab
I removed the hddlun=o option and it didn't report any problems, but I still can't get to it with fdisk
fdisk /dev/hdd

unable to open hdd

is the bios setup for the new disk? YOu might try to enter the bios setup and configure it, then see if it's shown at boot. It should be the secondary slave if it's hdd
