Customer display doesn´t show the text until I cat the port

Hello all,

I am having problem with a customer display from Posiflex connected through a USB port. Other PCs are using it and works well.

It is in /dev/ttyACM0. So I send a text with echo:

echo "Testing screen" > /dev/ttyACM0.

The screen doesn't show anything until I run cat /dev/ttyACM0. If I send the echo command twice, the screen starts to show some chracters from the first echo.

If I run the next command it works with echo and I don't have to run the cat command:

screen /dev/ttyACM0

Which could it be happening? It is really weird.

Kind regards

Sounds like the device is buffering data before displaying it. Maybe that's a feature that you can disable.

I don't know why a customer display is gonna have a buffer.

I have run stty -F /dev/ttyACM0 and the configuration is exactly the same in both OS.
