Creating a liveboot: rufus does not see Samsung T7 external SSD

I created a liveboot before using Rufus and flash drives.

this time I am trying to use Samsung T7 2TB via USB (type C USB on the drive end and USB at the machine). Also tried type-C to type-C. In either case, rufus does not see T7. It does see "regular" USB flash drives.

Win10 does see Samsung T7, can write files to it, etc. So it's not a Win10 issue.

it's most a rufus / T7 question. I want to create a persistent 2TB install of a distro. Ubuntu.

Hmmm. Please post the output of
Code:
[sudo] dmesg |tail -n 20
after removing the drive for a few seconds, and inserting it again. Also post the output of
Code:
lsmod |grep storage

I dunno about rufus/windwos, but I bet you could probably use dd to write the iso, then gparted to expand the partition.

If the drive shows in bios then linux should be able to use it. UEFI has introduced a number of issues that may cause this.
