In the service configuration, hidd isnt listed, only bluetooth. So I added hidd --server to my /etc/init.d/bluetooth file and it works now The case of bluetooth was already checked.

Sorry, I forgot to check /var/log/messages.
And I dont have an answer, why he didn-t find anything with ps -A | grep hidd, probably, I did it befor I run hidd --server.

By the way, when I run gedit as root, I receive the message
Quote:
(gedit:3265): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
As normal user I don-t receive a warning. do you know why

Reconnect devices

Hi,

thought this is a good thread to reopen ;-).

I have the following problem: Both, my mouse and my keyboard are bluetooth devices. They work properly, if I only use it at my PC. But after connecting it to my laptop, I have to reconnect it with

hidd --search or hidd --connect xx...:xx

and pressing the magic button.
If I dont do this (I forget it every second time ) I look at a linux box without any input device. Anytime used such a pc ? Additionally, you must connect a second keyboard to do reconnect the devices.
Maybe someone has an idea to solve this problem?

Torsten
