Configuring Linux To Use Nvidia In Built Memory
Hi, I have an ASUS, dual core Pentium 4, with 3GB RAM, 500GB HDD and in built Nvidia card with 512 MB RAM, the latter I wish to make sure the configuration of Linux uses, at my next install.
I plan to install, Macpup 511, Ubuntu Studio, Fuduntu, Fedora14 and I will try for Free BSD, Fusion Linux, Debian stable, dual boots. I may need GAG going.
I dont see what the issue is - Until you've installed it, you can't test to see if its working. I'm presuming your wanting to test the 3D capibilities?
But I have a question, can you please post the correct modell number of your mainboard? I never heard of integrated graphics with 512MB discrete RAM.
My board is a Biostar TA790GX A3+. Has an integrated Radeon HD3300 with on board 128MB DDR2 Side-Port memory. Or are you saying you've never seen a mainboard with that much discrete RAM?
