Here is /sbin/modprobe output: /lib/modules/2.4.18-14/kernel/drivers/net/8139too.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.

I am checking right now to see if my "crate's" cd rom works, I've had it unpluged cause it was making some horrendous noises.

I can't find it seperately, evidently it will compile seperately, just from the directory, got a 2.4.22 tree handy?

Hmmm... let me try that. Nope, blast... ah, buggrit, okay, found a source package:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=104393

Get the 0.9.26 version, let's see if that'll do the trick.

Cheers,

How do you get a stinking floppy disk to work... I mount the stupid thing and it asks me: specify filesystem type.

Usually:

mount -t vfat (possibly msdos) /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy

fdfloppy? Not even familiar with that command...

What error did it hork? What's at the end of dmesg from the mount failure, its usually something like, "no support for the catfish filesystem in kernel". Bad floppy maybe?

Cheers,

here is the error the floppy puts out:
wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0, or too many mounted file systems

Ok, got floppy to work with the mkfs -t command..... Still working nic cards...

There are two files at the site... One is the file and the other is the source code??? Where do I compile these files to? 8139too-0.9.26.diff is one of the files.. I am not familiar with the .diff format.
