CentOS on a PowerEdge 860

I think the Red Hat Enterprise and SuSE Enterprise distributions are said to work on this machine, but I wonder if CentOS with its standard kernel would work on a PowerEdge 860 with:

A Pentium D 925 (3GHz, 800FSB) processor,
Two 300 GB SCSI (SAS) hard drives.

I didn't find this in the HCL yet.

It should. I run mine on a Celeron D 3.33GHz with one 80Gib HDD. Advice: use the option of checking the discs (you'll know when you boot the CDs)
